Kashf Foundation is a microfinance institution in Pakistan. Kashf provides micro-loans to entrepreneurs, with a focus on women-owned businesses. So far, Kashf Foundation has enabled more than a million families to improve their standard of living.

At BII, one of the ways we make impact through our investments is by backing businesses which are proactively closing gender gaps. This is particularly important in Pakistan, which ranks amongst the lowest in the world for gender equality. We invested $15 million in Kashf Foundation in December 2020.
