So is there really bondocking etiquette? When we first learned how to boondock we realized that there are some dispersed camping rules that you should try to follow as a RVer or overlander.
A couple weeks ago we were boondocking in a dispersed camping area outside woodland Colorado and had some interesting neighbors. Our boondocking neighbors either had very poor boondocking etiquette or just did not care at all. While dispersed camping you should always try to park at a distance from any neighbor so everyone can have space. Please keep your pets on lease while dispersed camping, DO NOT LEAVE ANY TRASH! Yes, trash does include leftover pallets, you should never burn wood with nails while camping in the forest or the desert. There are a few other small pet peeves like loud music and cussing, basically try to be respectful of nature and all neighbors while RV boondocking on dispersed camping land.
