This week is Independent Bookshop Week. Sadly, there are so few left in this country, that my favourite indie is actually all the way across The Channel, in Paris.

Shakespeare & Company is a quaint English-language bookshop situated on the banks of the Seine. Famous for appearing in more movies than you could possibly count, it is a small haven for bibliophiles in the midst of a Parisian metropolis. I visit (at least once) every time I'm in town, and never leave without a new piece of magic to add to my bookshelves back home.
