Although only one of my predictions made it, I'm pleasantly surprised by the list. I was at least right that they'd choose 13 books! Which books are you happy made it or missed out, and which ones do you think will make the shortlist? I'd hoped to see In the Palace of Flowers there, but oh well. I guess the Booker judges are trying to compensate for all the years the Americans weren't included in the Prize???

2) This Mournable Body by Tsitsi Dangarembga (Faber & Faber/Gray Wolf Press: 296 pages, published back in July 2020???)
3) Burnt Sugar by Avni Doshi (Random House/Hamish Hamilton: 240 pages, published July 2020). I said that she lives in America. This is incorrect - she was born there but lives in Dubai at the moment.
