Book Snippet: The Passing of the Grey Company | Return of the King | Vlogmas 2017 Day 7. The Paths of the Dead is one of my favorite passages in J. R. R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings.

This is a snippet in Return of the King, Chapter Two: The Passing of the Grey Company. The start of their road through the Paths of the Dead.

For those who love these books, and especially for those who have yet to read them. Tolkien is such a masterful writer and the amount he packs into this entire passage (of which this is but the first part) is wonderful. I especially love he used Gimli as the POV here.
