Hello, Im Sarah and this is my first attempt at a podcast. Todays theme is the digital divide and how libraries have attempted to be more digitally inclusive. Its a really big topic, so I didnt get to go into it as much as I had planned.
To be clear- I am neurodivergent and don’t view disability as an inconvenience but I do hear librarians and folks in other public spaces complaining and viewing accessibility measures and accommodations as an inconvenience. Often lack of staffing is used as an excuse to not even attempt to improve access. This is unacceptable.
