BOOK REVIEW: A Heart to Cherish by Judith McNees (A Tranquil Shores Romance)

My summary: Julia is contemplating giving up her not yet born baby for adoption when a handsome stranger buys her lunch. The stranger, Alex, helps her find a home and job, and both of them start falling for one another all while telling themselves it can never work.
I didn’t enjoy this book because of virtual voice’s narration, which makes it difficult to rate the story because virtual voice impacted it so much. Virtual voice made the characters all sound like one another, and it did not convey appropriate or any emotion. Virtual voice did not pace well, which made the story lack tension or emotion. I would advise against listening to the audiobook. If the summary I wrote sounds interesting to you, get the paperback or e-book.
The plot did follow a typical romance, so if you like clean, happy romance, you’ll likely enjoy this book.
It seems like the author did work hard to bring realism into situations in the book.
The book did have a good example of Christian standards and showed how Jesus offers love, belonging, and worth to everyone.
If you like sweet, contemporary romance, try the paperback or e-book, not the audiobook.
