When I attended the Get Witchy With It Romance Author and Reader Event (in Peabody, MA), I added **A LOT** of books to my personal library and tbr. I made two trips to the car, during the day, to ensure that my books were safe and I could add more titles to my bag :)
I purchased all of these books. Some of the books were titles I wanted to added to the library (like Amy Award's collection). I already read her titles (as ebooks) and wanted to purchase the limited copies in-person. The other books were purchased when I connected with the authors and browsed their tables. Some of the authors were so sweet; I loved meeting them and wanted to support them. Other times, the book covers or titles drew me in. None of these romances were gifted. I'm sure some authors were handing out short novellas or offering giveaways, but I didn't win a free book. Maybe next time 🥰 Until then, I'm happy to have this great book haul!
