Emily visited her daughter in Michigan and returned to Bay Books in Suttons Bay where she purchased THE RECIPE BOX by Viola Shipman. (bookshop.org/a/17535/9781250149992) Chris attended two virtual events: Robert Darnton’s talk at the Boston Athenaeum (bostonathenaeum.org/) about his new book, THE REVOLUTIONARY TEMPER: PARIS, 1748-1790 (bookshop.org/a/17535/9781324035589) and Alan B. Farmer’s lecture on “Lost Books: The Dark Matter of the Early Modern English Book Trade” at the Harry Ransom Center (https://www.hrc.utexas.edu/)
