Cathy, Kirsten, and I are back for book club and this time we read Gerald’s Game by Stephen King. The story follows a woman who ends up handcuffed to a bed after her husband suddenly dies, leaving her completely alone with her thoughts and memories. We break down what we liked, what didn’t work for us, and whether this book holds up decades after it was first published. We also talk about listening to the audiobook versus reading the book, Stephen King’s writing style, and some of the bigger themes in the story.
