I recently completed the genesis version and thought I would quickly run through the SNES one. I didn't bother trying to collect the collectibles because it takes forever to search the levels and all you get from it is an extra life once the level is completed. Also they reset through going through the bonus sections of the stage making it very easy to collect enough. As such I rush through the levels much faster than with my genesis longplay. I didn't notice any meaningful differences between the versions.
