I recently purchased a Zeiss Contax 50mm 1.4. I thought that I could use the lens handheld for video on my Canon 5D mark ii but it turned out to be far shakier then I would have liked. I do love the nature of the lens however and I have recently purchased the 35mm 1.4 as well.
I wanted to see how this lens handled a low light situation and I bought the lens to mainly shoot wide open. The whole thing was shot at 1.4.
I was also shooting at 1250 ISO on my Canon 5D mark ii so there was quite a lot of noise in the image which i'm not that pleased with. My Canon 5D is getting quite old but I really think this lens has the potential to make it shine.
Shot flat and graded in film convert. My lens was a Zeiss Contax 50mm 1.4 MMJ.
