Hello everyone and welcome back to On Point HQ and the sixth video in the Bolt Action Basics series. In this video we are going to be looking at transports and tanks. Vehicles are quite a detailed and involved part of the game and so rather than try and cover every aspect of the mechanics, I have decided to focus on two main parts – the role of the transport vehicle and also the combat mechanics of tanks.
** Small amendment to the video - sections can use an advance or run order to disembark a vehicle, not just an advance. Small oversight on my part!**
Transport are a big part of Bolt Action as they are designed to get your troops into battle quickly. In the video, we will look at the rules around transports, how they are assigned orders, how they transport troops and how they deal with being in combat.
Tanks are often some player’s favourite part of the game and in the video, I will outline how tanks work in games of Bolt Action with regards to their rules and shooting at other tanks.
As with the rest of the Bolt Action Basics series, the videos are intended to be a very basic overview rather than a detailed analysis. I would always recommend picking up a copy of the main Bolt Action rulebook as this will expand on the areas of the game covered by this video and the rest of the Bolt Action basics series.
