A new moon is a symbol of renewal and hope for many of us, making it the perfect shape for this boho woollen wall hanging. This crescent shape is super simple to reproduce too, meaning you'll have a beautiful new DIY wall hanging in a flash!
Corinne Bradd shows you just how easy this boho home decoration is to make with her wonderful tutorial! Start by wrapping a cardboard crescent with brightly coloured yarn, ensuring there are no gaps for a smooth finish. Once your woollen moon is complete you can embellish it with a selection of coloured paper leaves and pretty crocheted five petal flowers in a myriad of shades.
The flowers are easy enough for a beginner hooker to produce and only require a repetition of dc, htr, tr, and dtr stitches; working in reverse to complete the tapered petals. An ergonomic hook will make working these mini blooms a breeze and the Waves set of colour coded hooks from KnitPro are perfect for crocheters of all abilities.

To make the flowers - chain 4 and join with a slip stitch to make a ring. Chain 1, work 5dc into the ring and join with a slip stitch. Chain 1 (to represent a dc), and in the same dc as the slip stitch work –htr,tr,dtr,tr,htr,dc. In the next four dcs work dc, htr,tr,dtr,tr,htr,dc. Join with a slip stitch and fasten off.
