Classic Airliners & Vintage Pop Culture | Boeing 727-100 Prototype Slideshow - "The Last Flight!" - 2016 @mcdonnell220 | Uploaded March 2016 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
On March 2, 2016, the very first B-727 made her final flight from Paine Field, Everett, WA to her final destination and new home, The Museum of Flight at Boeing Field in Seattle. She was piloted by Captain Tim Powell, First Officer Mike Scott & Flight Engineer Ralph Pascale. I went out to the MOF yesterday for the festivities, and took these shots. This airplane did end up flying for UAL from 1964-91, and the aircraft was beautifully restored and painted in the very short lived (1964 only, with "Interrupted Cheatline") delivery scheme. This project was lead by Mr. Bob Bogash, and he and his team did an excellent job with this classic bird.
