Bogie was a previous pet before coming to live at the Zoo. Parrots are like having an expensive, destructive, and *loud* toddler for 30-80 years. They can and will scream every day for decades at up to 135 decibels. To put that into perspective, the sound of a jet engine taking off is around 140 decibels! On top of that, parrots are often taken illegally from the wild to be sold as pets. When bringing a new pet into your family, your choices have a big impact. Learn more at lazoo.org/notapet.
