One of my favorite Bobby Vinton records. Charted at #59 on Billboard Hot 100 in February 1966, and #27 on Billboard Adult Contemporary chart. This song was a huge 1965 hit in the UK for Ken Dodd (#1 on the UK Singles chart), and Bobby was a natural for the US version. Another recording by Vic Damone made it to #35 on the Adult Contemporary chart in 1965. First recorded by Rudy Vallee in 1929. Original Billboard review: "The beautiful ballad hit from England makes a hot vehicle for the familiar Vinton sound and should be a top of the chart winner".
