This is the only existing audio from Bob Poole's Greensboro radio career at WBIG that spanned 25 years! It was transcribed to disc on November 11, 1955 for broadcast on his show, a Ship-to-Shore call from the MS Stockholm on its way to Bermuda. Bill Wannamaker (probably the brother of Alan Wanamaker, the General Manager of WBIG) is heard, as is Nancy Bryan who lists all the Greensboro residents on board. You'll also hear my dad Bill Ingram, which is why this audio survived, I guess Bob gave this transcription disc to him.

Bob Poole is talking to Bob Montgomery at the station, he had the morning slot at WBIG before Poole's Paradise got underway in 1952.
In one of the pictures taken on Bob's party bus you'll see him and his wife Gloria on the left and the Wannamakers on the right.
