In order to humiliate a sheik, cause chaos, and rescue "the girls," Bob Hope (along with Bing Crosby) improvises a makeshift whoopee cushion to embarrass a very Caucasian sheik in the racist "Road to Morocco" (1942), a film that has not only been derided by noted Middle East expert Dr. Jack Shaheen as "one of the most stereotypical films ever to come out of Hollywood" but also was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".
