It's time I let y'all know that I've sort of been a closeted _Bob's Burgers_ fan.
A little while ago, I decided to give _Bob's Burgers_ a shot because I really enjoyed _Lucy, the Daughter of the Devil_ and for those who don't know, both shows were made by Loren Bouchard. At first, I was stuck in my old feelings towards _Bob's Burgers_ because I grew up hating it, mainly due to its art style, which I always found to be kind of ugly (and still do).
In recent times, however, I've slowly started to have a change of heart towards _Bob's Burgers_ and I've been developing a soft spot for the show. I've been checking out more clips and I've listened to a bunch of the music from the show (one night I stayed up listening to _Bob's Burgers_ music until I couldn't anymore) and I've taken quite a liking to it. I've even taken a liking to its art style although I still find it to be funny-looking (but it's iconic, nonethetless). It's a genuinely funny, heartwarming cartoon; Bob is a reasonable, loving father *and the Belchers actually care about each other* unlike other animated sitcom families such as the Simpsons, the Griffins and even the Marshes to some extent (though the Tegridy Farms arc of _South Park_ is thankfully over), which is highly refreshing. I also find it heartwrenching how Bob didn't have the best childhood and is making sure that his kids have the best life he can provide for them. ๐ฅน
I think my favorite character has to be Gene Belcher! I hated him at first and found him annoying, but I eventually grew to love him, mainly due to the fact that I can relate to him a lot. Plus, Eugene Mirman. He will always emit angry nun energy no matter what (because he voiced the nun from _Lucy, the Daughter of the Devil_ and did a phenomenal job doing so). ๐คฃ
Never-ending yap session aside, here's my speed draw of Bob Belcher himself. My first attempt at officially drawing a _Bob's Burgers_ character, so, it's not the best but I still think it came out alright! :)
