8 ripe Thai bananas
1 Tbsp rum
2 Tbsp sugar, divided
3 Tbsp canned black beans
1/3 cup coconut milk
1/4 tsp salt

2 (16 oz) packages banana leaves, cleaned
8 (5 feet long) cooking string or twine
Yields: 8 cakes
Bánh Tét Chuối Nguyên liệu:
500 gạo nếp hột dài
8 trái chuối xiêm chín
1 m. canh rượu rum
2 m. canh đường, chia phần
3 m. canh đậu đen đã nấu chín
80 ml nước cốt dừa
¼ m. cà phê muối
2 (450 g 1 bịch) lá chuối rửa sạch
8 sợi giây dài 1.5 m, 1 sợi dùng để cột bánh
