This was the first piece of music that we wrote for the film Dreaded Light. I had an idea for a theme that I thought we could have elements of recurring throughout the film. Andrew brought really interesting chords to it to give it more depth and the correct emotional setting. We told Mark the director that we strongly felt that the movie should have an opening titles sequence with this theme. We thought the theme and a titles sequence based on visual ideas that we had would be a strong statement of intent for the film and set the mood for what was going to follow.
