ENGAGE, the virtual communications platform was chosen by BMW Motorsport in conjunction with Wir Sind Jerry, a sports consulting agency and AR/VR experts, govar to host a VR experience.
During the garage tour, a BMW engineer introduced the guests to the battery-electric race car. Guests were able to look through the Formula E car as if they were using an X-ray machine and view all the technical details at their leisure. Guests also got first-hand insights from driver Maximilian Günther. Those who weren't afraid of fast-paced action were able to climb into the BMW i8 Safety Car as a co-driver and take a lap of the Monaco Grand Prix circuit in 360°. In addition, various content offers await the guests, which they can consume at their leisure, the event was then rounded off perfectly with a virtual drink at the Roof Top Bar. Here, guests had the opportunity to network with the other guests while also switching to 3D audio allowing for smaller conversations.
The BMW Formula E experience was also accessible in 2D desktop/laptop mode for those who do not have VR headsets.
