This video demonstrates how to repair error code 9D12 "SINE: Internal Battery". The batteries required are (2) CR123A.

E60 alarm sirens from 9/2006 production and later cannot be serviced in this manor. They are glued together instead of screwed together, and would need to be cut open to replace the batteries.
