Hey all, Tony Dae.

I made this video to help explain what people are arguing in about how ISO affects exposure. Basically we have people arguing different things and are not fully understanding each other or are misrepresenting information.

Basically there are three things being said:

1. Changing ISO from 100 to 1000 does not change the real exposure or real dynamic range captured.

2. Exposing for middle gray at ISO 100 will yield different exposure than exposing for middle gray at ISO 1000.

3. ISO 1000 intrinsically helps with highlights and has different dynamic range than ISO 100.

2 of these statements are true, and 1 is false. Let's explore this together and put this "debate" to rest.
