The talk will present BlueStore optimizations that focus on TCO (Total Cost of Ownership).
Recently integrated solutions will be presented, along with brief guidance on how to benefit from them. Ongoing efforts will be summarized, and future improvements highlighted. Two categories will be discussed separately
- features that need to trade resources (disk/memory/cpu)
- improvements that directly reduce resource usage
The calculation of exact monetary benefits will not be part of the talk, but the determined attendee should be able to calculate his gains from BlueStore improvements. Hopefully, this will spark his interest in funding this area of BlueStore development.
