Alexis Ffrench sagt über seine Komposition: „Bluebird" ist für mich voller verschiedener Einflüsse, von Debussy und Satie, und ein Ausdruck von Liebe und Hoffnung. Es ist aus einer Improvisation heraus entstanden. Ich wollte etwas schreiben, das eine gewisse Unschuld und Reinheit ausdrückt. Es gibt im Moment so viel Trauma um uns herum, und ich wollte einen Moment der Ruhe, der Schönheit und des Trostes vermitteln. Davon gibt es nicht genug auf der Welt."

Alexis Ffrench says about his composition: "Bluebird" is for me full of different influences, from Debussy and Satie, and an expression of love and hope. It came out of an improvisation. I wanted to write something that expressed a certain innocence and purity. There is so much trauma around us at the moment, and I wanted to convey a moment of peace, beauty and comfort. There's not enough of that in the world."
