While the European Union has created change and reshaped shipping with its maritime regulations (Fuel EU Maritime, Emissions Trading Scheme, ship recycling regulations, the Corporate Social Responsibility Directive to name but a few), it has also created funding mechanisms for technology companies, institutions, shipowners and others to focus on maritime projects that enhance its goals on safety, environmental improvement and strengthening European maritime competitiveness. This Blue Talk brings together funding experts to discuss just how companies, small and large, can get their hands on some of this cash, what criteria are being sought and what funding rounds are likely in 2026.
