The 5 week closure of the A59 between Blubberhouses and Kex Gill top led to some pothole patching, which is a bit smoother than the customary surface, and a few hundred yards fully asphalted beyond the summit on the Skipton side. Very little additional work done to the new bypass section. Best I can ascertain, the new section will rejoin the existing carriageway just East of West End road.
