BLOND ZOSIA explores women’s autonomy through the lens of Jewish women from the Holocaust, specifically focusing on Krystyna Zywulska.
Krystyna Zywulska was Jewish woman, Polish resistance fighter, Auschwitz prisoner, and Holocaust survivor. She went by many names throughout her life, concealing her identity to help Jews in hiding and later to ensure her survival. As a resistance fighter, the SS officers knew her only by her alias, “Blond Zosia”.

Likht (ליכט, "light") Ensemble is a piano-vocal duo comprised of soprano Jaclyn Grossman and pianist/composer Nate Ben-Horin. Their mission is to uncover and share music by Jewish composers from the Holocaust, and by doing so, reexamine their own place in the classical tradition. See Likht here: likhtensemble.com

The Cohort for 2022|23, includes soprano Natalya Gennadi, soprano Jaclyn Grossman, baritone Luka Kawabata, and tenor Pierre Luc Houde. These singers have been mentored by artists accomplished in a variety of performing arts disciplines through a process of creation, storytelling with voice, and authentic personal connection to song.
