Blinky Bill, Australia's favourite koala 🐨, makes learning fun with this interactive adventure. It introduces children to reading, tests comprehension, fosters creativity and builds awareness. The story is based on an episode from the television series "Blinky Bill's Extraordinary Excursion".

The adventure of Blinky Bill and his friends begins when they find a hot air balloon while searching for gum leaves for dinner. In their curiosity Blinky, Nutsy, Marcia and Flap, they climb into the balloon. Suddenly a gust of wind catches the balloon and carries it high up, far from Greenpatch, their home village. When the balloon lands after a while, the four friends find out that they are no longer in Australia. You meet other animals and ask for directions. But none of the animals knows the way back to Greenpatch. Until they meet someone on their journey who can help them.

Das Abenteuer von Blinky Bill und seinen Freunden beginnt, als sie bei der Suche nach Eukalyptusblättern für das Abendessen einen Heißluftballon finden. Neugierig, wie Blinky, Nutsy, Marcia und Flap sind, besteigen sie den Ballon. Plötzlich erfaßt eine Windböe den Ballon und trägt ihn hoch hinaus, weit weg von Greenpatch, ihrem Heimatdorf. Als der Ballon nach einer geraumen Zeit landet, stellen die vier Freunde fest, daß sie nicht mehr in Australien sind. Sie treffen andere Tiere und fragen nach dem Weg. Doch keines der Tiere kennt den Weg zurück nach Greenpatch. Bis sie an einer Station ihrer zufälligen Reise jemanden treffen, der Ihnen weiterhelfen kann. Wo das ist und wer der Helfer in der Not ist, wird hier natürlich nicht verraten.

Die aus dem TV bekannten Comicfiguren Blinky Bill und dessen Freunde starten nun zum zweiten Abenteuer auf CD-ROM: Auf der Suche nach den begehrten Eukalyptusblättern entdecken die vier Spielkameraden einen Heißluftballon, mit dem sie schließlich auf große Reise gehen. Eine Böe trägt den Ballon in ein anderes Land; folglich sollen Kinder ab vier Jahren dabei helfen, den Weg zurück in die Heimat zu finden.
