Super Mario Bros. speedruns are one of the most impressive speedrun showcases in terms of how close one can actually get to perfection. What if we want to take it a step further though? Let me introduce you to the BLINDFOLDED speedruns of SMB!

In this video, we will take a short look at the history of blindfolded SMB and then go over the newest world record by Crescendo, who beat the entire game blindfolded in only 5 minutes and 10 seconds. I will try my best to explain the entire run stage by stage in a simple manner, so that everyone can appreciate the sheer insanity that this speedrun is!

The amount of optimization and how close this speedrun is to the visual equivalent is honestly mindblowing.
