Hey, all. Sharing some of my processes-- "cheats", if you will. This is a way to produce high volume character art in a quicker way. Maybe it's concept art, or storyboards-- or a graphic novel. Maybe it's a series of digital paintings. Basically, you can set up a still illustration in 3D space while retaining that 2D look. I have this model rigged in Blender, which is a free software. Blender is VERY powerful, and I recommend all artists consider giving it a try. You can do some amazing stuff in it. And the amount of tutorials on YouTube is seemingly endless... I just started using it last summer.
The free download includes a Blender file of the dragon rigged-- as well as the mesh all ready to start painting. Working on a narrated tutorial for those who need it.
