Over 1 year after the release of the first Apple silicon MacBooks, we are finally seeing software such as Blender get updated and optimized! With the new 3.1 update, Blender now supports Metal GPU rendering using the Cycles engine. In this video I compare performance improvements from the previous version of Blender, and compare a 14" M1 Pro MacBook against an RTX 3060 Razer Blade 14 to see how they compare.
