Today we will be bleeding air out of my scion fr-s cooling system due to the fact that i had just replaced my oem radiator with a mishimoto radiator setup. When bleeding air out of your cars cooling system be careful opening the radiator cap after revving 5-6 times to 3,000 rpms. Don't forget to keep your heat on with the AC off!
If you do not get the air out of your cooling system after changing your coolant or radiator you can create hot spots! A hot spot is nothing more than trapped pockets of air or bubbles inside cooling system passages that prevent coolant from carrying heat away from those areas, causing the engine to overheat.
