Update: It looks like with the recent update yesterday that it may not be possible to use the prayer to break the ladder latch anymore. I've pinned a comment saying that you can instead use Veredicto's air attack to get to the latch. That seems to be the go to method now for using this shortcut.

Update to the update:
If anyone is still having trouble with the Veredicto method for the shortcut (since the update patched the exploit shown in the video) try this method out (and let me know if it works if you could). One method I found to work consistently is to use the spin attack in the air followed by a jump then an air dash and finally an attack to hit the latch. Another method requires you to have the anointed one and purified one statues together. I did some testing and if you use the charge air spin attack followed by a jump and then followed by right bumper then attack, the fireballs that emit due to the statue combinations should hit the latch. I tested this on the already broken latch so it is a theory but it might just work.


A little unintended shortcut that saves a lot of time.
