Bland Anime Protagonists. Dress Up Darling has a lot of people talking, even now that the new anime season has closed. Been seeing a bunch of wacky opinions on Gojo so let's look at him. Generic Anime and Generic anime protagonists do exist. There's plenty of bad anime - I don't think that's controversial- but let's not equate good writing falsely to a bland, generic, or underwritten character. Anime! Wow!
