Like usual I’m taking a different take on a song than the straight forward approach.
Shortened Su1c1d4| to S for the sake of keeping this video from being taken down completely 😭
In this case “ruining the color blue” isn’t meant to be taken quite literally as much as ruined in the sense that Robin can’t see the color without thinking about Oracle (blue is Oracle’s favorite color after all) but instead of it being in a negative way it’s more bittersweet.
Kinda the point of the animation is to express the feelings that a s person may feel (or at least I have personally felt in the past) around telling someone about them being s. They may feel like they will be a problem, something that the person they told just has to deal with and that the person will just be waiting for something to go wrong. And some people do act like that, that’s a sad fact of life. But some people don’t, and in the case of Oracle and Robin, Robin wants nothing more than to help and keep his friend around.
(Most of this animation is played from oracles point of view on how he thought robin would react.)
The only anger he feels towards Oracle was when he first found out, the fact Oracle hadn’t told him, hurt him a bit- but the feeling of hurt didn’t last long once he realized how important it was for Oracle not to feel at fault in this situation.
Because it’s not the s persons fault they are this way, it’s not their responsibility to make sure everyone’s happy and its important that they DO tell someone.
So yeah that’s my rant!
I started this at 2:30 am so hopefully some of this makes any sense
