As France was attempting to assess 2 years of Macron's reign, media went into overdrive reporting a hostage-taking in Blagnac, near Toulouse. We were told the "hostage taker" was 17-year-old "Yanis", the self-proclaimed "one-man--Yellow-Vest-militia" who was armed with, among other things, a manifesto. Two laughing cops caught my eye.
