One of my first runs of the new dungeon, Thornwind Cavern, in Hard Mode. It's pretty easy and simple and I kinda miss the old complex dungeons .-.
The party had pretty low DPS but I thought this might make it more interesting to watch than a faceroll high dps group. On phase 2 I messed up and got 2 stacks during phase, which doesn't even let me heal much and as you can see I almost died :P
At 1:30 starts the end boss, before that it's the mini boss.
And yes, I changed my char a bit, wanted a change

I believe this is a world record for now? But not entirely sure of all the JP speed runners so might be wrong
Turned my Verschmelz weapon into Spear and used it a few times for Volk to get a break earlier so I have enough time to build PB again at end for last push
I think I kind of perfected optimizing this bosss moveset as sword/wire. Its complex and for some attacks you need to react REALLY fast, so it was very challenging and fun
Many times I release my Spiral too early and take damage; this is intentional, to make sure the last hit connects. Or in case of Chest Explosion attack, to make sure 2nd Spiral reaches Overcharge (timing is super tight there and I even failed it once near end)
I could go on and on to explain so many things about optimizing this boss but it would be a book and I doubt it even fits in youtube description limit D:
I used Bouncer sub so I can get a break (break is influenced by down rate too), otherwise I wouldnt even get a break at all even with Volks because Hunter down rate is horrible. Lost the -5% crit from slayer sub but crit rate is a lie anyway just like rare drop rate!
At the last balls phase I equip an Evolcoat Wire and spam Lasso to get my PB back up in time for last push
Oh and ignore the misclick at 1:02 when I wanted to volk, kept pressing T instead of R fml xD

Lost a few seconds on missing that green pad and the blue room pettas missing my counter, but otherwise tried my best without Twaalv. Hydra laser cheese was so lucky, crits including lol
