Blade 350 QX3 Quad Drone by Horizon Hobby with GoPro Hero. I am flying this quadcopter for the first time today and with a the Sony version of the GoPro which is just as good, if not better, than the gopro hero and much cheaper. It also has GPS speedometer so you can gauge the speed of your flights if you feel the need.
This Blade 350 QX3 is awesome and I already had the transmitter and camera, so for $450, I had a full drone setup. This is a great quad if you take your time to program it and calibrate the safe tech computer. I used it with a Spectrum DX6i transmitter.
The people who claim they fly away on them are not taking the time to learn how to fly quads or have not setup the Blade 350 QX3 properly to their own transmitter. Each transmitter has it's own setup instructions.
The Blade 350 QX3 comes as a BNF or bind and fly. This model comes without transmitter and camera for those who want to link or "bind" the quadcopter to an existing Spectrum transmitter. The Blade 350 QX3 ARF comes with a transmitter but not a camera. The transmitter that comes with the quad is setup specifically for the 350 QX and doesn't need additional programming. The Blade 350 QX3 AP comes with everything you need for drone surveillance including a three axis gimbal that can be controlled on your transmitter so you can aim the video camera exactly where you want it while flying the quad. The "safe tech" technology allows the Blade 350 QX to return to the point of take off hands free. That means if you lose focus or control of your quadcopter, it will come back to you automatically with a flip of a switch.
