This is a blacksmithing tutorial where I show you how to forge the tip of a spear. If you are interested in how a blacksmith forges metal this video shows you some basic techniques. We take four steps in making it.
If you are a beginner or want an easy project to try this is a good choice for you. I recommend you use a piece of mild steel with a low carbon content so you can easily manipulate the metal. If you want a more serviceable spear you should use a steel with a higher carbon content and you should harden and temper it.
