Today, we're taking a look at the low light performance on the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K. The BMPCC 6k low light test goes through the range of the camera's ISO for each of the Blackmagic Raw compression codecs (3:1, 5:1, 8:1, & 12:1). Sorry I didn't do Q0 or Q5. To do this test, all of the ISO settings were changed in DaVinci Resolve, and unfortunately in doing it that way I didn't have access to the ISOs above 6400. However, I think that's okay, because the image gets pretty noisy and unusable after 6400 anyway.
This low light test footage has no denoising so you can see how each of the Blackmagic Raw codecs performs straight out of camera.
