Blackbush Orchestra is a Nantes-based music collective built on a shared and collaborative creative approach. Bringing together musicians from diverse backgrounds, the project is rooted in listening, cooperation, and the blending of sensibilities, shaping a vision of music as a space for connection, exploration, and artistic engagement.
𝘉𝘈𝘙𝘙𝘐𝘓𝘌𝘛𝘌 𝘊𝘖́𝘚𝘔𝘐𝘊𝘖 is a four-part work that weaves a dialogue between poetry, visual art, and music. Conceived as a space of resonance, the project brings into motion the engravings and texts of artist Oscar Yana, alongside a poem by Sophie Girard. Emerging from encounters, affinities, and exchanges with the artists involved in this EP, it unfolds as a global musical language where Greek 𝘭𝘢𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘰 meets Andean 𝘻𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘯̃𝘢𝘴, Creole percussion, and Latin poetry.
The track "Sueño Del Sol" is based on a poem by Oscar Yana, as narrated by his son Silvio Yana. Leonidas’ “Dónde Estás Remix” is a Balearic reimagining which draws on the poem’s bittersweet sense of longing, with the narrator’s yearning reframed as an appreciation of the journey itself and the beauty of each moment.
