Frank, a regular fossicker in Queensland central gem fields country in May 2024, over 2 days saw a Thylacine twice in the same location. The second time was extra special because on that day, there was 2 young with the suspected adult female Thylacine standing in the middle of the road. All three animals had the same striping and dark colouration. Aboriginal dreamtime stories from South Australia mention dark coloured Thylacine's as a part of the fauna of South Australia. Does the black genepool still survive on mainland Australia today..?
