An article from IGN just confirmed a PREQUEL to BLACK OPS 3 in the form of a COMIC BOOK! IGN explains how this comic book has a purpose to detail extra plot points that can't be portrayed in the BO3 video game. Seems like it could be a good collectors item to have in a hardened or prestige edition for Call of Duty Black Ops 3. We'll have to find out more at Comic Con in the next week.
