“Black New Yorkers have borne the brunt of this crisis,” @nycmayor Zohran Mamdani told The Root in an exclusive interview.
Speaking with @charlesmblow, Mamdani said New York has lost more than 200,000 Black residents over the past few decades, calling it a “reversal of the Great Migration.”
“It’s not for a lack of love for this city. They just haven’t been able to afford New York.”
