Black Myth: Wukong: Complete Treasure Hunter Quest Guide | Unlock Spell Binder spell!
Welcome back to our Black Myth: Wukong walkthrough! Today, we're going to guide you through a hidden quest to unlock the powerful Spell Binder spell. This quest involves the elusive Treasure Hunter and can be easily missed if you don't know where to look. Let's dive right in.
To begin the quest, head to the North Shore of the Bitter Lake. From the Keeper's Shrine there, proceed in the opposite direction—away from the shrine itself. You'll come across a temple where the Treasure Hunter is being attacked by some Cyan Bats. Jump into the fray and defeat the bats to save him. After the battle, make sure to talk to the Treasure Hunter and exhaust all his dialogue options. This interaction is crucial to trigger the next part of the quest.
Continuing your journey, make your way to the Valley of Ecstasy and locate the Forest of Felicity Keeper's Shrine. From this shrine, follow the path through the gate, but instead of going straight, take the path down to the left of the torii gate. Keep following this route until you reach another Keeper's Shrine called the Towers of Karma.
Near the Towers of Karma Shrine, you'll hear the Treasure Hunter calling out for help again—this time, he's cold and needs warmth. Equip the Ring of Fire spell if you haven't already. Approach him and cast the Ring of Fire near him to warm him up. While he's inside the ring, talk to him and once again exhaust all dialogue options. This will set the stage for your final encounter.
Now, it's time to prepare for a boss fight. Return to the Forest of Felicity Keeper's Shrine. This time, take the path down to the right of the torii gate. Continue downward until you reach a river area. Follow the river downstream, and you'll spot three enemies near two torches. Between these torches, there's a cliff you can drop down. Carefully descend by hopping from one rock to another, eventually landing on a winding tree that leads to the Melon Field Shrine at the bottom. Activate this shrine to set your checkpoint.
Near the Melon Field Shrine, you'll notice a Buddha statue. As you approach it, a cutscene will trigger, revealing that the Treasure Hunter is actually the Green-Capped Martialist—a deceiver who now challenges you to a fight.
The Green-Capped Martialist is a formidable opponent with several tricky moves. He often starts the fight by throwing attacks your way, so be ready to dodge immediately. Using the A Pluck of Many spell can be highly effective, as it allows you to deal damage from a distance before he closes in.
When he turns into rings, avoid locking onto him. The rings will attempt to run you over, and locking on can make it harder to dodge them, especially when he unleashes two rings that can hit you from behind. Stay mobile and keep an eye on both rings to evade them successfully.
Upgrading and utilizing the Immobilize spell is crucial in this battle. It can stun the boss, giving you precious moments to inflict damage and potentially stagger him. However, be cautious when using Immobilize—avoid casting it while he's in the middle of an attack animation, as he may recover quickly and counterattack.
When he becomes visible again, seize the opportunity to use Immobilize and unleash your combos. Be aggressive but mindful of his attack patterns. As his health dwindles, maintain the pressure and prepare to finish him off with a strong combo or spell.
Upon defeating the Green-Capped Martialist, you'll receive valuable rewards, including the powerful Spell Binder spell. This spell is a fantastic addition to your arsenal and will greatly aid you in future challenges.

Welcome to the ultimate guide for finding all five Skandhas and unlocking the secret boss in Black Myth: Wukong. In this video, I’ll take you through the exact locations of each Skandha, starting from Chapter 1, leading all the way to the hidden boss fight in Chapter 6. Along the way, I’ll provide detailed tips on how to tackle each challenge, including strategies for the Giant Shigandang. Whether youre looking to collect the Skandhas or face one of the toughest bosses, this guide has everything you need. The first Skandha you’ll need to find is the Skandha of Form, located in Chapter 1 at Black Wind Mountain, in the Forest of Wolves near the Front Hills Keepers Shrine. After reaching the shrine, head toward the area where youll fight the Bullguard mini-boss. Opposite the mini-boss, you’ll see a stream. As you approach the stream, you’ll notice a monkey looking around by the river. When the monkey runs off, head over to the statue’s head that’s submerged in the water. This is where you’ll collect the Skandha of Form.
The second Skandha is the Skandha of Feeling, located in Chapter 2 at Yellow Wind Ridge, near Fright Cliff and Rockrest Flat. To obtain it, youll first need to defeat the secret boss, Shigandang.
To fight Shigandang, collect all 6 Buddhas Eyeballs and deliver them to the area near Rockrest Flat, where youll battle the Stone Vanguard. After defeating the boss, Shigandang will appear. Once you’ve defeated Shigandang, it will drop the Skandha of Feeling.
The third Skandha, the Skandha of Thought, is found in Chapter 3 within The New West, specifically at the Mindfulness Cliff Keeper’s Shrine. This one’s a bit tricky to locate because it involves a bit of platforming and careful exploration in a hidden area.
Once you reach the Mindfulness Cliff Keeper’s Shrine, don’t head straight forward—instead, look to the right of the shrine. You’ll notice a large canyon below, and this is where your journey begins. Carefully drop down onto the ledge below, which opens up a hidden path leading into a cave system.
Make your way through the cave, and eventually, you’ll emerge back outside, greeted by snowy cliffs. Continue your journey along these cliffs, navigating the narrow paths and stairs, until you reach another entrance covered in snow. Head inside, and you’ll emerge at the top of another snowy cliff.
It’s quite a journey to reach this Skandha, but the hidden path, the stunning snowy landscape, and the sense of exploration make it one of the more satisfying Skandhas to collect. Make sure to keep an eye out for that mischievous monkey as you continue your adventure!
The fourth Skandha, the Skandha of Choice, can be found in Chapter 4 within The Webbed Hollow area, near The Purifying Spring Keeper’s Shrine. This one requires navigating through an eerie, web-covered section, so brace yourself for some creepy atmosphere.
Starting at The Purifying Spring Keeper’s Shrine, head right and climb the stairs that lead deeper into the Webbed Hollow. You’ll come across a narrow gap in the wall that you can squeeze through—move through it, and you’ll be on the correct path.
Just like the previous Skandhas, the mysterious monkey from earlier will make another appearance, sitting atop the Buddha’s head. As you approach, it will run off once again, but now you can claim the Skandha of Choice from the statue.
The super secret boss, Giant Shigandang, is located in Chapter 6 of Black Myth: Wukong, within the Mount Huaguo region. To unlock this secret fight, youll need to have collected all four Skandhas from the previous chapters, which are essential to access this boss.
To find the boss, head to the Verdant Path in Mount Huaguo, where youll need to use your cloud to ascend higher up the cliffside. Youll notice a large open area just beyond where you fought the Son of Stones. Follow the path that leads off to the right, climbing higher and higher. Once you reach a dead-end, you’ll see an opening in the cliff above. Head through this passage to enter a slightly covered tunnel, leading you toward a wide-open space.
