This is the final video in my triple comparison series. This one was harder to edit, since the audio of the MIDI is not necessarily ear pleasing, and basically killed soundgoodizer and my reverb VST effect. There are actually a few audio desync issues that show up in the video (slight delay before the X crash to compensate for individual audio delay) and there is a somewhat noticeable flange effect that I tried my best to remove, but still shows up :/ This was originally going to be a 9 way comparison, but sadly I was unable to record enough runs that passed the crash. I hoped that my E6850 would be able to pass it (I ordered my E6850 and E5450 to add additional runs to the comparisons), but sadly the E6850 failed. There was also originally a Core 2 Duo E8135 and E8600 in this video, but the E8135 lagged much longer than the other runs and had desync issues so it was removed. The E8600 underperformed significantly, losing to the E8400 despite being about 500MHz higher than it, so it was also removed. I was left with a 6 way comparison that is shown here. Two Faced lovers is a notable MIDI because of it's "X" crash. The first 2 crashes are standard, boring crashes (in terms of MIDI) that are not commonly measured, but I measured them anyway. There is a mild stutter point before the X crash that puts stress on the GPU. A GTX 1660ti / Super is about the minimum GPU that can get 60FPS on it in 1080p. The "X" crash is one of the most recognizable crashes in any MIDI, ever. It lags every PC for at least a few seconds, and sometimes longer on older/lower end CPUs. It has about 40-50,000 polyphony, which means it needs about 6MB L2 or L3 crash to pass. Newer CPUs can pass it with 4MB, and some overclocked newer chips can pass it with just 3MB. I only included runs that could pass the first 3 crashes in this video.

*2024 Update*
This MIDI has 300 million zero velocity notes for some reason. The Notecount with those included is 1,865,529,181, but the effective notecount is only 1,584,269,687. I had issues finding an exact notecount back in the day so that explains a lot. I probably could have done this merge a lot better if I tried today.
I spent many hours selecting midis, merging, SAFCing, editing, testing, and creating this video. I weeded out all the broken midis and either fixed them or left them out, and I did it so well that I didnt even have to redo the tempo events! The regular unedited tempo worked right away.

This incredibly polyphony-heavy midi by Scub Domino is very hard to play, packing over 269,000 polyphony, and cannot be nolagged by any realtime player that renders every note. I do plan to attempt to nolag it in PFA sometime, but I fully expect to use 0.0001 speed or possibly even slower. Since BPFA is essentially immune to crashes like this, there is little lag.

Kep (Now BreezyAF/Surveilance/Scientist) made a mod of PFA that directly supports KDMAPI (Keppys Direct MIDI Application Programming Interface) which basically means that it gets a CPU boost for MIDIs with big crashes or a lot of Polyphony like this. I happened to be online when he released Version 1.0 of this which has no visual difference from the Original version of PFA, and downloaded this. he later made version 1.1 (removed the info box in the top right corner) and 1.2 (changed the bar at the bottom to grey) and then he removed version 1.0 and 1.1 off of discord. I still have version 1.0 though, so I guess that I am kind of lucky lol.

Nerfed this MIDI at like 2AM lmao
I wanted to do a legit run/PFA nolag on this, but sadly there were massive sustain bombs in the midi that would take weeks to record so that is out of the question. I decided to load this into domino because I got the idea to nerf it and run it in PFA. I basically set the gate of the sustains to either 1 or 5 depending on the note length. I kept some crash parts in the MIDI because I still wanted it to be a challenge lol. The last crash has about 39,000 polyphony, making it take quite a while to pass.
