Here you see Scub's iconic blackening technique, hybridized from the styles of many blackers in the past with his own twist on it. Quite recently he hit 1000 subscribers and made a special video on it (with a colourful million note remix to boot!).
It started at the beginning of August, ended in September, and internal operations were completed in October. It was the second International Technique Competition of Black Scores, hosted by the China Black Music Team (CBMA, formerly called the CBMT). Black MIDis entered were judged based on meaningless-notes, aesthetics, sound, and technical content.
There were four judging areas, P1, P2, P3, and P4.
P1 was where everyone would blacken the same MIDI in the span of one month. The two "Last of Me" videos uploaded today are from P1. P2 concerns smaller, lighter black remixes, P3 concerns instrumental MIDIs (though nobody competed in that), and P4 was the original composition sector where people would create their own original music (I will likely upload from that as well).

We hope to see more people participate in the third ITCBS contest (although this will not happen for a while; ZUMN and the people organizing [including me] are busy with school now and the contest was held during summer break...).
A clarification on ZUMN and ScubDomino. ZUMN and I were some of the organizers behind the event; organizers cannot enter the contest, but ZUMN decided to do so just for fun. He managed to get the highest score, but chose not to count himself due to this rule.

This is the latest Kazan Challenge MIDI and is not the 2.7 million version I posted on PFA a long time ago TSMB2 made a peaceful version after the 2.7 version came out. It had all the lag notes removed, and was less than 2.7 mill. However, he reblackened the song and upped it to 2.66 million (not rounded to 2.7 to prevent confusion).
If you value your life, do NOT watch if you are epileptic. This video is in 60 FPS and is overall a very visual MIDI (most of the notes are art notes that enhance the visuals).

Im not really used to MIDITrail editing, so it might not look perfect. I wont do these types of videos very often. This is probably one of the only times Ill do this style - I dont want to fall victim to SSW syndrome and have the entire screen filled up by Singer Song Writer or any other auxiliary program (although there are people who execute it right).

This is one one of the best black MIDIs Ive seen as of recently. It was created by HDSQ.mid (HemiDemiSemiQuaver) of the Black MIDI Team. He is one of my favourite newer blackers in the team with a killer work ethic, encompassing over 250 hours into this black MIDI over the course of 12 months. He spent 30 hours alone on his video, so you should check that out (and perhaps add the MIDI to your collection / make a video of it though make sure you credit him correctly!).
I tried very hard to play this MIDI on Synthesia, but it was simply too laggy and I was running out of time. I had to resort to using Piano from Above. Given how boring my summer has been in anticipation of second year at UoGuelph, this video surely made things a little better.

This MIDI has been out for a while, and Ive been meaning to upload this for a while, but I never got around to doing it. Kind of like how I meant to get this video out yesterday but I was at a birthday party hehe. Rinnosuke has always been a good blacker - his works have been forever timeless and I have great confidence that even today, this year-old MIDI is still relevant.
Life update: yes I have returned from California (August 13 was the flight home), and I was jet lagged a few hours for a few days - sadly I didnt have a video to upload when I came back. Aside from that, school is starting in a few weeks. x_x
